Tools of Transformation: How a Village Agri Center is Growing Prosperity

Overview:

Citizens Foundation, in collaboration with the LTIMindtree, established a Community Agri Resource Center in Paragon Village (Jurdaag Panchayat, Karra Block) as part of the Integrated Village Development Program. The initiative aims to address critical challenges faced by farmers, such as limited access to modern agricultural tools, knowledge gaps, and market vulnerabilities.

Implementation :

The Community Agri Resource Center was launched in September 2024 to provide essential agricultural support to local farmers. The center offers access to 20 modern agricultural tools, including plows, seed drills, and harvesters, at subsidized rates. Additionally, monthly workshops with agricultural experts are conducted to enhance farmers' knowledge and skills in sustainable farming practices.

The introduction of modern agricultural tools and expert guidance has led to significant improvements in farming efficiency and productivity:

• Enhanced Seed Germination: Farmers using seed drills reported a 30-35% increase in seed germination rates.
