Mrs. Senlata Topno, a dedicated farmer from Kasira Village, has transformed her 2-acre land through an Earthen Check Dam (ECD) built with the Citizens Foundation and LTIMindtree Foundation. This initiative has addressed issues of unpredictable rainfall and water scarcity, providing a reliable irrigation source. As a result, she can now consistently water her crops and diversify into high-value vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, and spinach, improving her family's nutrition and creating new market opportunities.

Impact:

The reliable water supply has led to a significant boost in crop yields, nearly doubling Mrs. Topno's vegetable production within just one year. This increase in surplus produce has enabled her to enhance her income, invest in superior farming equipment, and elevate her family's living standards. Additionally, she has set aside funds for her children's education, paving the way for a brighter future for them.
